Dr. John Dongas

Dr. John DongasJohn F. Dongas, MD, FACC is Board Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Electrophysiology.  Dr. Dongas attended medical school at the University of Athens Medical School in Greece and earned his Medical Degree from Rush University in Chicago. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Metropolitan General Hospital in Cleveland and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. He received his Cardiology Clinical Fellowship training and his Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is the recipient of the Edmund James Scholar Award from the University of Illinois, the Good Fellow Teaching Award from Mount Sinai Medical Center, and the American Heart Association Fellowship Award.

Dr. Dongas is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Dongas is a former Director of a Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory and a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. He is a noted researcher and sought after national presenter. His extensive studies are published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.
