Mission Statement

Heartland Education and Research Foundation (HERF) is a non-profit public charity foundation dedicated to the promotion of health and human services in the field of cardiology through education.

 

Our educational programs allow area physicians, allied health professionals, and community members to learn more about the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine, treatments and techniques as well as educating the community about primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. HERF is also an on-going participant for clinical research trials.

 

HERF is classified as an organization exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

HERF was established in 2003 by the physician partners of Heartland Cardiovascular Center to provide educational opportunities to the medical and nursing professions and the community.
